Fire at Coombe

This occurred on December 12th 22.

The directors of Coombe Accident Repairs were called to the site to find that it was a blaze.

They were greeted by 80 or so fire fighters that had been battling for some time to put the fire out.

The following day forensic fire examiners occupied the site to determine the cause.

With the help from the CCTV equipment in the building - the fire was seen and determined to be an electrical box on the side of the oven. Despite 6 weekly checks on equipment.

The directors/managers of Coombe had been working on a greater approach to vehicle body repairs, and found themselves in a position to accelerate their plans.

We are working on developing a new site, and with the help of various partners LKQ Coatings, DCR of Portsmouth we have opened what we believe is the future of crash repair centres. We have a long way to go to be as green as we want, and we will get there soon.

This was a devastating incident that had big ramifications to the business and staff.

Fortunately no one was hurt by the fire.
